Americans Don’t Use the Present Perfect Tense as Much

Talking about the past is simple in American English grammar. Americans typically stick to the simple past tense to describe recent, completed actions.

American English: He ate his lunch.

American English: I went to the store.

However …

British speakers sometimes use the present perfect tense instead of the simple past in these cases.

The present perfect is constructed from the auxiliary verb “to have” followed by the past participle of the main verb.

British English: He has eaten his lunch.

British English: I have gone to the store.

با عرض سلام خدمت زبان آموزان گرامی.

یکی از مباحثی که در خلال آموزش و یادگیری زبان انگلیسی به اون پرداخته میشه، تفاوت American English و British English است. در این پست قصد داریم در خصوص کلمه ی Judgment | Judgement این مورد رو بررسی کنیم.

کلمه Judgement در انگلیسی British استفاده می شود و املاء آن در انگلیسی American به صورت Judgment است. اما در انگلیسی British ممکن است بسته به محتوا و نیاز از هر کدام استفاده کنند.

Judgment is the standard American spelling

However, British English may use either depending on the context!
